Ski Santa Fe

Tom and Tina went skiing in Santa Fe, NM, with the youth group from our church http://www.stannparish.org/ over the MLK long weekend off of school. It is an annual event at our church.

I did not send them with cameras but Tom has a friend, Rob, that snapped a few photos - so here's Tom making it down hill.

Here is Rob at "little bear cave," now if it were me, any size bear, I wouldn't pose for a photo, I would get out of there!

Rob is an expert at skiing. He can go down double black diamond runs. He has his own equipment and ski clothes. He loaned clothes to Tom.

Here's a photo of Tom in Rob-loaned ski goggles. Tom looks so serious in this photo, like, I'm gonna get down that hill and make it to the lodge without breaking a bone!

Tina went on the ski trip also. She tried different hills and enjoyed fellowship with other youth. She made some new friends too. In the photo her cheeks are very pink, she says because it was brrrr cold outside!

Tom missed his girlfriend Kaitlyn, though she does go to our church (and his school), she did not sign up to go on the ski trip. Our church has 28,000 parishioners and all events fill up quickly. He also said that he didn't get phone reception in the mountains. It may have momentarily challenged their puppy love but everything was fine and they are looking forward to Valentine's day. Hopefully I will get some more photos from others who went on the trip, then I can post some more. Oh, and yes I did enjoy a rare weekend to myself!
