My daughter, Tina, just realized (DAH) that my friends are my same age and that they have teens too, and that some of those teens are boys! So she met my friend Suzi's son Michael.
For my friends up north, most of my friends here are protestants and they were absolutely fascinated with the ashes on my forehead and kept touching them. That was weird for me! So my cross morphed into what looked like a dove by the end of the night from all the touching. The lack of knowledge is not just about religion, most people here also do not know their own heritage/culture, which has also been very odd for me but I've gotten used to it.
