Lunch with the Aumans

Today we had lunch with Mike And Kay Auman at 7 Salsas in Coppell. This Mexican restaurant has great food and a great selection too.

We hadn't seen Mike and Kay for a year, so much as has happened in the past year so we caught up. Mike took a promotion at Catholic Charities! He is brilliant, so not surprised. He works in refugee services and is now involved at a higher and broader level. The world is a better place because of Mike!
I have known Mike and Kay for over seven years. Mike hired me at Verizon and was my first boss at Verizon. Kay is from the Chicago area, like me, and we can relate and remember Chicago. I have always been impressed with Mike's ideas and expression of his thinking. We stayed in contact after he left Verizon.
Mike and Kay are also my daughter, Christina (Tina)'s Godparents. I knew that they would be great, and they are, very resourceful, knows or can get answers for defending our faith. Tom has had a few situations and questions that I couldn't answer and Mike has always been a tremendous resource.

Tom is currently taking Pre-AP World Geography and Mike, in his position at Catholic Charities, has met wonderful people from all around the world.

After we left our lunch, and got in the car, Tom commented on what a cool job Mike has - and we all agreed! and I thought: what a wonderful role model too!
