July 17-19, 2009 - St Ann Catholic Singles, along with more then ten other Catholic churches went to Austin, TX. I drove the car pool with my Suite-mates, Melissa (left) and Cindy (right). Almost everyone stayed at the Embassy Suites in Austin. This photo was taken when we arrived. Yes, we got along well the entire time!

At the meet and greet, I met Eric, he was really funny! Not from my church.

Friday night we went to the Cedar Door restaurant where we sat outside, then we enjoyed some night life on 6th and Congress, and on 4th and Congress! Fun!

Saturday morning we all met for breakfast! We had on our river rafting clothes as we went to New Brunsfels to raft in the Gruene River. I was in a raft with my suite-mates, Melissa and Cindy. The water was low and sometimes we had to carry our raft. I love these hats the guys had on and one of the guys loaned me a military camo hat! Look at Dr Joe's blue bag! that's big bag just for one day on a raft! My photos on the river were taken by a waterproof disposable camera and I have not gotten it developed yet.

After rafting for 6 or 7 hours (whew!) and I cleaned up my mud and blood (long story but I took a tumble while climbing up the river bank, like being a climbing wall and falling into rocks!). Well here's Cindy and I, we clean up pretty good huh!

Here I am with Dr John, the whole group went out for mexican food Saturday night.

We enjoyed talking about our adventure of the day... and plotting out what clubs we plan to go dancing at that night!

All over the club district I noticed these guitar art pieces and I liked this very colorful one so we got a photo.

We drove home Sunday and I came home to my Gary, everything was good, Gary is such a great guy and managed my home so I could have this much needed retreat! Love you Gary!

So I should have more photos in a couple weeks, if they turn out, the camera is waterproof but it was soaked in water much of the time and took some hard falls too.
Wish I were there! Looks like fun! Maybe next year!
